Tanapat Leangaiem from Thailand is in the overall individual lead with all his scores being 10 cm or fewer (from the 2 cm diameter target disc) with two dead centres; Mariko Ito of Japan is leading the female category, with China the leading team.
The Kazakh organizers provided a wonderful and entertaining opening ceremony with traditional dancers and singers providing the entertainment. The competition has been supported by the local and regional government who look at this event as providing visibility of the sport and contributing to regional development.
With efficient, sterling work from the organizers, it is anticipated the event will be successfully completed with the maximum number of twelve rounds.
