The 6th FAI European Paragliding Accuracy Championship starting off nicely
Slovenia and Kobarid are hosting the 6th FAI European Paragliding Accuracy Championship from 16th to 22nd of September. 111 pilots from 24 nations are participating in the event, of these are 5 nations from outside Europe and the pilots are not competing for the European champion title.
Opening ceremony was held in Kobarid after a successful training day and the first competition day Monday the 17th provided beautiful conditions. The defending European champion, Slovenia’s Matjaž Sluga opened the competition as the first pilot and made a beautiful 0. Another Slovenian pilot - Matjaž Feraric - is though leading the competition after 2 full rounds with a total of just 1 cm.
The weather forecast looks promising the organisation lead by Jure Fratin and Igor Eržen are working smoothly so the atmosphere is at the top.
